Restocking without the spreadsheets

Price lists from a WhatsApp screenshot, stock orders from a quote, parcels followed to your door and batches told apart by their labels, with Claude doing the typing.

Suppliers & stock explainer

Read the transcript

We built My-Pepts while running our own peptide store, and restocking was always the messy part: prices in chat threads, orders in spreadsheets, and no clear idea what a vial really cost.

Now a new supplier starts as a screenshot. Drop in the price list they sent on WhatsApp, and Claude builds the supplier, with every row matched to your compound library. Their product codes line up, so you compare every supplier size by size, per vial, with the cheapest marked.

When a quote comes in, Claude copies its prices and boxes onto a draft stock order and checks the total. Add the tracking number and follow the parcel through customs.

When the boxes arrive, book them in on your phone. Each batch is recorded by its label and cap colors, so two batches never get mixed up, and its certificate is filed right on it.

Nothing lands in stock until you confirm it. Start your store at my-pepts.com.

How it works

  1. Step 1: A price list straight from WhatsApp

Drop in the screenshots a supplier sent on WhatsApp, a PDF or a spreadsheet. Claude creates the supplier with its contact details and whole price list, and matches every row to your compound library.

The Vellmar Labs admin's page for a supplier, Ridgeway Synthesis, with its WhatsApp number, payment terms and a price list of eight sizes, all eight matched to the lab's compound library. Beside it, the WhatsApp screenshot of the price list Claude read it from.
  2. Step 2: Every supplier side by side, per vial

Each supplier keeps its own product codes, matched to one product in your library, so their lists line up size by size. The cheapest per vial is marked on every row, even against a supplier that sells in boxes of five.

The price comparison: Ridgeway Synthesis, Lanthorn Labs and Tidewater Biotech side by side, every size on a row with each supplier's own product code, and the cheapest per vial highlighted on each row. A box of five vials at $49 is not marked cheapest, since $9.80 a vial is more than $8.90.
  3. Step 3: A stock order from the quote

Start a draft from a saved list or attach the supplier's quote. Claude copies the prices, boxes and shipping onto the order and checks the total against the quote; one Undo puts the draft back, and placing the order stays your call.

A draft stock order to Lanthorn Labs with the supplier's quote attached: three lines with their product codes, boxes and unit prices copied from the quote, shipping of $75 and a total of $503.00 that matches the quote. The order is still a draft, with Mark ordered at the top.
  4. Step 4: Follow the parcel through customs

Add the tracking number and the order draws its journey from the courier's own scans: picked up, in transit, customs, out for delivery. A courier saying delivered never books stock; you do.

A stock order on its way: the courier's scans from Guangzhou through Hong Kong to customs in Cincinnati, a journey line from label made to delivered with the parcel at customs, and a Book it into stock button that stays a separate step.
  5. Step 5: Book it in on your phone

Scan the code on the order, photograph the boxes and count each line in. Claude reads the photo and pre-fills the counts, caps and batch dates, and nothing reaches the shelf until you press Receive.

  6. Step 6: Batches told apart by their label

Each delivery of a size is its own batch, recorded by its label, lettering and cap colors, so two batches on the shelf never get mixed up. Orders draw from the oldest batch first.

The stock page for one size, Research Peptide A 10 mg: 55 on the shelf in two batches. B-0001 has a white label with blue lettering and a navy cap, received 12 September; B-0002 a black label with gold lettering and a red cap, received 20 October from stock order PO-0001. Both carry a certificate of analysis.
  7. Step 7: Certificates filed on the batch

File the certificate a supplier sent on the batch it came with. The product page shows a blurred picture and offers the full certificate on request, and the supplier is never named on your storefront.

The Testing page's Supplier certificates tab: a certificate for each batch of Research Peptide A 10 mg, with the lab, the test date, the purity (99.42% and 99.18%), identity confirmed and the stock order the batch arrived on.

What it does

  • Saved lists for reordering

Tick the products you buy together on the comparison, or save any past stock order as a list. A new order can start from it: one box of each size that supplier sells, with a note naming anything they don't.

  • Quotes and invoices kept apart

The quote is read on the draft; the final invoice is filed on the order whenever it arrives, ready for your accountant. A box the supplier sent that the order never carried becomes a line at the receipt.

  • One ledger, landed cost and real profit

Every movement, from a receipt to an order to a count correction, goes through one stock ledger. Each vial is costed at what its stock order paid, landed, so every order shows its profit after postage and packaging.

  • Independent testing rounds

Pick vials from incoming batches, send them to a lab and record what came back. A result reaches your storefront only once it is filed, dated and passed.

Where AI helps

Drafts and readings you check. Nothing goes out until you press the button.

  • Claude matches your library

Every supplier row is matched to a compound in your library by name or alias, and anything it cannot match becomes a new entry rather than a gap. Likely duplicates are proposed for review, never merged on their own.

  • Claude reads the packing photo

Photograph a parcel at the bench and Claude reads which batch each vial came from by its label and cap. You can change any of it before the parcel leaves.
